HOW TO BECOME A MECHANIC IN MOTOGP

Joining a team in Motogp or Formula 1 is the dream of many young people.

But not everyone dreams of racing on the track as a driver.

Many dream of being able to transform studying and discovering new technologies.

If you want to become a mechanic in the world of Motogp or Formula 1, first of all you have to go to university:

Today, Italian and foreign universities provide a good approach to the Motosport world.

Mechanical Engineering is the beginning of the road.

A first approach today fortunately in every university you can find special departments dedicated above all to the development of racing cars and motorbikes.

I leave you some links of different Italian faculties:

Obviously, just a degree is not enough, you need to do some courses.

These are just some of the courses that are available in Italy and abroad.

If, on the other hand, you want to be part of the racing world as a journalist, manager and many others, first of all you need a lot of passion, determination.

There are several courses to follow, for example, if you want to become a journalist like the legendary Guido Meda I recommend that you enroll at the university with a specialization in Modern Literature, Political Science or Humanities.

I would like to remind you that no university degree is essential, but only a high school license, even if a degree can facilitate the professional path.

To become a journalist it is necessary to carry out 18 months of internship in a newspaper, attending one of the various training courses lasting 45 hours, established by the order of journalists. Or attend a two-year school or master of journalism recognized by the professional order. At the end you must pass a suitable exam.

And then a lot of apprenticeship and a good dose of determination.

If your dream is to become a Manager like the Great Team Manager Luigi Dall'Igna, Mattia Binotto etc. Also in this case I recommend that you attend university, with a specialization in Mechanical Engineering, Management, Business Economics and do a master's degree.

If you are a simple enthusiast and you want to work on the track I leave you some links.

Working on the track:

Marshalls, marshals (or track) or race officials (or track), professionals specialized in safety on the track.

They are the ones with the orange uniform to understand who manage the safety and the conduct of the race.

The track commissioners for car races are managed by Aci, while those for motorcycle races by the FIM. For this reason, to become a marshall you need different licenses for different races, cars or motorcycles. To obtain the license, therefore, it is necessary to follow the courses organized by the various federations and the related continuous refresher courses. To participate in a course for the achievement of a new license it is necessary to enroll in a club or motorcycle club with a regular annual card (which guarantees insurance for track activities) and be in possession of a medical certificate of non-competitive sporting fitness. (new provision starting from 2019). All persons between 18 and 68 years of age who possess the characteristics listed above can exercise the activity of marshall. But beware: being a marshall is certainly a specialized job, but it is still a voluntary unpaid activity but only reimbursed.
