The LCR Team is based in the Principality of Monaco. It was created by the Italian driver Lucio Cecchinello in 1996 ; the acronym LCR means precisely Lucio Cecchinello Racing.

In 2020 the team ranks eighth in the MotoGP team standings by taking pole position at the Teruel Grand Prix with Nakagami. In MotoE Canepa and Siméon are respectively ninth and tenth in the standings.

In the 2021 World Championship the official drivers are Takaaki Nakagami and Alex Marquez.
