La Ciudad del Motor de Aragón, also known as Motorland Aragón, is a motor racing circuit located in Alcañiz , a town in the Spanish autonomous community of Aragon .

5, 344 m long, the circuit was designed by the well-known German architect Hermann Tilke in collaboration with the British agency Foster & Partners ; the technical and sporting consultant of the project is the Formula 1 driver Pedro de la Rosa .

The complex was designed to include three main areas: the technology park, the sports area and a cultural and leisure area. The technology park will host research institutes focused on the automotive industry ; the sports area includes the speed circuit (in several tracks), a go kart circuit and several dirt tracks, while the leisure area will host a hotel and shopping centers.

it was inaugurated in 2010 and is the latest arrival of the four Spanish circuits that are part of the Motogp.

The 5.078 km track with 17 curves and a straight of just over 900 m.

It is a technical circuit with a mix of long and wide curves alternating with tight curves.

The hardest braking is at turn 16, the bikes reach 330 km / h and brake up to 166 km / h.

The track puts stress on the tires, especially when cornering and braking.

HOW TO GET

The circuit is located a few kilometers from Alcaniz in northeastern Spain.

The nearest airport is Zaragoza but there are few lines. The easiest way is to arrive at Barcelona airport.

The Motorland de Aragòn is isolated so you need a car to get there.

The road from Zaragoza (N-232 / N-420) leads to the Motorland circuit - and then winds its way through Alcaniz, Valdeltormo, Calaceite and Gandesa - is a small masterpiece of curves and ups and downs.

From Barcelona it is almost 3 hours by car while from Zaragoza it takes a maximum of 2 hours.
